The Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA is much more than a place to go a workout. Andrew Potter, Marketing and Communications Director, says they are a community hub. That was shining over spring break with students filling up the gym and pool.

The Marshalltown Y is planning to hold a Tri-Athlon again this summer, to help prepare people they are also holding a Lazy Man Ironman Tri-Athlon right now. Earlier this week the first person finished.

Potter is hoping that people who complete the Lazy Man Ironman Tri-Athlon will participate in the Tri-Athlon on June 28th. He says about 50 people participated last year, and there were people from across the state.

Anyone can sign up for the Tri-Athlon this summer, this is another event the YMCA holds that brings our community and others together.
