7am this morning is when the closure will start on Highway 14 between Laurel and Marshalltown. Dustin Skogerboe, engineer with the Iowa Department of Transportation shares why the shut down is needed.
Skogerboe is anticipating this project to take about 3 weeks, all weather permitting. He then explains the signed detour
He says the intersections where the closure starts are not completely closed off
Skogerboe says this is one of a few projects the Iowa DOT will be working on in Marshall County this year. Construction season in Iowa has officially started, be aware of workers on the side of the road
