The warm weather lately has people getting outside and beginning to clean up their yards. The compost facility in Marshalltown is opening this weekend giving people a place to take their brush.

That is Marshalltown Public Works Director Heather Thomas. She says the compost facility is expected to stay open through November. Another way to get rid of that brush, starting April 1st, is burning it on your property. The Open Burn Ordinance starts April 1st.
