The City of Marshalltown released a “News Flash” yesterday about the construction project on Center Street just north of the Anson intersection. Phase 1 of construction wrapped up yesterday and Phase 2, the replacement of the center median, will begin today, 04/03, in the afternoon.

During phase 2, there will be lane reductions in both directions: Northbound traffic will be merged into the outside lane. Traffic will be able to turn into Hy-Vee or continue straight (north) on Center St, over the viaduct. Southbound traffic will be shifted into the western lanes. The left turn lane will be closed and the inside straight-thru lane will become a temporary left turn lane for those heading east on Anson St.
