As of Wednesday, April 2nd, the price of regular unleaded gasoline averaged $3.13 across Iowa according to AAA. Prices rose 10 cents from last week’s price and are down 14 cents from a year ago. The national average on Wednesday was $3.24, up 9 cents from last week’s price but still 11 cents higher than the average price in Iowa.

Retail diesel prices in Iowa rose 9 cents this week with a statewide average of $3.42. One year ago, diesel prices averaged $3.76 in Iowa. The current Iowa diesel price is 21 cents lower than the national average of $3.63.

Natural gas prices were up $.17 at the Henry Hub reporting site and are currently priced at $4.06 MMbtu.
