Confirmed with Marshalltown’s City Administrator, Carol Webb, the newly hired Park and Recreation Director has submitted his two-week notice. Jeff Evenson was hired in December of 2024 and started in February of 2025. Evenson submitted his formal 2 week notice on Monday, which means his last day with the City will be Friday, April 11th.

When Carol Webb was hired on as Marshalltown’s City Administrator, she had 4 vacancies with department heads she needed to fill. Park and Recreation was the final position filled and the search will start again for a new director.
