The Marshalltown Girls Softball team had a doozy of a double-header last night as they took on the 3rd ranked Fort Dodge Dodgers. The Cats fell by a final score of 10-0 in game one, and game two wasn’t all that much better, though they did find the scoreboard in that one as they fell by double digits again, 11-1. Marshalltown will look to end their six-game losing skid as they’ll next take to the diamond today in the Dave Lee Softball Tournament against BCLUW.
The Bobcat Boys Baseball team didn’t fair any better in their double-header against Fort Dodge as they fell in both games as well. Game one was a 16-1 rout while game two was marginally better for the Cats in a 13-1 defeat. The Cats have now lost every game since the opener and sit at 1-16 on the season. They get a few days off before hosting Waterloo East on Monday.
