The Marshalltown Aquatic Center was closed only 2 days in June, both due to weather.  Jenni Hart, the Recreation Supervisor for the City of Marshalltown, talks about the reasons weather would close the pool.

The weather yesterday was the reason the pool was closed.  Hart says they also watch the temperature to determine if they will be open or not.

Lightning, Thunder, and Temperature are the main reasons the Aquatic Center would close.  Hart praises the staff at the Aquatic Center as they have not closed any features due to low staff.  Last summer the slides or lazy river would close down at times.
