The Marshalltown Baseball season has officially come to a close. On Friday night, the Bobcats took on 5th-ranked Ankeny Centennial, and were shutout 10-0 in five innings, never having a player reach base. The first season for Marshalltown under new coach Colton Hanke ends with a 5-30 record.
Marshalltown Softball also saw their season end this weekend as they also took on the Jaguars of Ankeny Centennial on Saturday. Marshalltown saw a few batters make it on base, but were unable to secure any runs as they also fell to Centennial by a final score of 10-0 in 5 innings. The Bobcats see the 2024 campaign end with a final record of 16-24.
