Once a year the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA will close down for a few days to do a deep clean of their facility.  Kim Jass-Ramirez, CEO of the Marshalltown Y, says those dates are coming up in August.

This gives the Y staff an opportunity to deep clean in some areas that they cannot get to while they’re open.  She also mentions a few other items they will tackle during this time.

Jass-Ramirez says the best place to stay up to date on what is open throughout their closure is ymca-ywca.org.  She says some classes will start sooner than others, those in classes will want to double check times with their instructors.
