Superintendent of schools for the Marshalltown Community School District Theron Schutte stopped by KFJB to talk about a bond for the November 5th general election.

The funds will be dedicated to a complete overhaul and expansion of Miller Middle School as well as the renovation of the Franklin Field Complex and to put audio visual systems in all elementary schools in the MCSD. To vote on a topic, one must have just under 500 signatures for a petition. Schutte mentioned places where one can sign a petition.

One can also give their signature at the Bee Ridiculous Day festival today in Marshalltown. The festival stretches from 3rd Ave to 2nd St along Main St. The Bee Ridiculous day will last 10 Am to 3 PM.

Randy Denham, the MCSD Director of Finance, is currently reviewing the signatures to ensure their authenticity for the upcoming election.
