The House of Compassion in Marshalltown helps individuals in a variety of ways.  They have a nightly meal, 6 nights a week, they have their supply closet, and their Job Pathways program.  The Job Pathways program partners with Iowa Valley Continuing Education, Iowa Works, and TLC Associates.

That is Executive Director of the House of Compassion, Chad Hammer.  He says that they work on different skills to help individuals find and keep jobs.

Hammer says they had 30 families go through the program in the first 2 years.  This year they have 44 families signed up and 6 have found a stable job.  His goal was to get 25 families signed up and at least 12 finding a job.
