Friday, July 19th, around 7pm Marshall County deputies were dispatched to the 2300 mile of Highland Acres Rd. for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Once deputies arrived on scene they saw the driver of the motorcycle severely injuries.
They identified the driver as Douglas Hanken, age 70, of Marshalltown. Hanken was air transported to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries. Hanken died from the injuries sustained on July 27th. The technical crash investigation is on-going with the Iowa State Patrol.
