Authorities in the City of Granger have called a boil advisory as the city’s water treatment plant lost pressure on Tuesday. Due to the potential for bacterial contamination, the city recommends residents use bottled or boiled water for drinking, ice-making, brushing teeth and food preparation until further notice. Water, juice and formula for children under six months of age should not be prepared with tap water.
Bottled water should be used for infants until further notice. Fareway and the city of Granger will be providing free bottled water for residents while supplies last. Pickup is across from City Hall after 8 a.m. today. Limit one case per household in Granger city limits.
