The Marshalltown Police Department is putting on a few events this week. This morning at 7:30, the Marshalltown Police Department, Fire Department and The American Legion VFW Combine Honor Guard to hold a ceremony. It will take place just outside of the Police and Fire Station in Marshalltown. Tomorrow the Marshalltown Police Department has an event at the library.
That is Marshalltown Police Chief, Mike Tupper. He says Hate Crimes are a complex issue and this is a chance for people to learn more. It is an open panel discussion; people can bring questions to ask.
Next week the Marshalltown Police Department and MPACT will have Coffee with a Co-Responder on September 19th at the Tremont Grille.
