Announced on Tuesday at the United Way Kickoff at the Marshalltown Arts and Civic Center, Kendra Sorenson Executive Director, shared the 2024 goal of $900,000.  She then shares that the Marshalltown Area United Way is already pass 25% of that goal.

The $900,000 goal is a big jump from last year as they raised just over $825,000.  Sorenson explains where the new goal comes from.

Sorenson shares that many of their partner agencies are seeing an increase in need for their services.  The United Way did raise nearly $890,000 in 2022, showing that $900,000 isn’t out of reach.
