Executive Director for the Marshalltown Area United Way, Kendra Sorenson, has a unique sense of style.  She has been rocking a tie, with or without a collared shirt, for about a month.  The tie is a symbol for how far along the campaign the United Way is.  She has cut the same percentage of tie off as they have raised for the $900,000 goal.

Sorenson says that the packets for companies have gone out, so employees who do payroll deduction should see those soon.  We are now 1 week out from the crazy night that is their main event, the Power of the Purse.
