Trick or Treating in Marshalltown was changed last year to be the final Saturday in October. This was done for a few reasons, City Councilor Mike Ladehoff, who led the conversation about making the change last year, shares some of the reasons as to why.
Previously the Mayor would decide when Trick or Treating would occur, this now sets a permanent date. They also expanded the timeframe from 1.5 hours to 2 full hours. Trick or Treating will be Saturday, October 26th, from 5 – 7pm. Ladehoff shares how children will know to stop at your place.
