The Iowa State Legislature has allowed counties across the state to create a levy for Emergency Medical Services, called an essential services levy.  This is now being discussed with a task force in Marshall County.  Marshall County Supervisor Carol Hibbs spoke about the coverage of EMS services Marshall County has.

UnityPoint in Marshalltown provides 2 ambulances to help cover City Limits, but outside of Marshalltown, many of the EMS services are on a voluntee

One of those options is to add an essential services levy, which many counties across the state have added.
