There are 4 individuals and 3 relay teams competing at the Girls State Swimming and Diving Friday and Saturday. Emma Case, Adele Beek and Leia Hernandez will all be swimming while Senior Kate Hauser will be the individual diving. Head Coach Angie Nelson was proud of how the girls competed at the regional meet.

Nelson says everyone had a great day cutting a ton of time across the board. The individual swimmers will have preliminary heats on Friday beginning at 10am.

Kate Hauser will then begin her diving competition at 4:30 on Friday. Then 12noon on Saturday will be the finals for swimming both individuals and relays. Nelson says this week of practice has been a ton of fun and the girls are feeling good.

The girls State Swimming and Diving championships will take place for the 20th year at the Marshalltown YMCA.
