The Community Foundation of Marshall County received a total of 31 different Letters of Intent, which totaled roughly $717K in asks. Julie Hitchens, Executive Director, compares that number to what they received last year.
The foundation has a total of $95,000 they will grant out this cycle. While Hitchens says the need in our area has grown in the last year, she believes the big jump in total asks comes from the type of project being a capital project.
Right before Christmas and the end of the year, Hitchens says they will notify everyone that submitted a letter of intent if they are invited to submit an application and take the next steps.
