Welcome to The List,

The official state funeral for former President Jimmy Carter will be held Jan. 9 at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., the White House confirmed Monday.

He died, Sunday in his hometown of Plains, Georgia. The Nobel Peace Prize-winner’s wife of 77 years, Rosalynn, also passed away in the modest house they built together in 1961…

President Joe Biden has declared that day as a National Day of Mourning and has ordered U.S. flags to fly at half-staff for 30 days. Jimmy Carter was 100…

There’s been a Smith sighting! For the first time since May, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith were spotted out together recently. The couple, who Jada revealed to have been separated for eight years, dined with friends in Calabasas. In one photo they’re chatting with one another while walking. In another shot, Jada leaned in and wrapped an arm around her estranged husband…. then flipped him…slapped him and told him to keep her name out of his mouth!!

Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan’s newest smash, Landman, features an impressive all-star cast, but if you have been paying close attention, you may have also noticed a very special guest star on the show. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s daughter, Audrey, has popped up on Landman more than once in recent weeks.

Audrey McGraw first appeared on Landman during Episode 5, titled “Where Is Home.” She played the role of Shelby, who lives next door to the house the main character Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) lives…inviting his daughter “Ainsley” to a Patch Party…

And lastly…If you’re a DIEHARD FAN of Jelly Roll, you may have known this, but for everyone new to the bandwagon: Jelly recorded a song 10 years ago with Uncle Kracker… called “Sunday Morning” .  It was NOT about CHURCH . . . it was about waking up hungover after a wild weekend partying like they were in a “fraternity house. “.. you can find it if you search…

The List for Thursday, January 2nd 2025

Welcome to The List,

Lainey Wilson and former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges were one of country music's most beloved couples of 2024, so it's only natural that fans are buzzing about whether they might be taking the next step and tying the knot sometime soon. Bunnie Xo is wondering, too. She confessed to Wilson that she's "manifesting" a wedding for her in 2025.  Lainey has even offered to propose to HIM!!

-----

It's not too unusual for Luke Combs to tease new music before releasing it, but this time, he's got one important question to go along with his unreleased demo. "Who should I duet this with?" he asked fans as he posted a clip of something that appears to be titled "More Less Than Perfect." Combs' new song is a love ballad with lyrics that appear to be directed at a person who fell in love with him, even though he thinks he doesn't deserve her attention.

-----

Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her "It Ends with Us" co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, according to court docs…as well as the film’s production company, Wayfarer Studios.  Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Baldoni with the California Civil Rights Department on Dec. 20. On Dec. 31, Baldoni and his publicists also sued the New York Times for libel,  after the news outlet published a Dec. 20 article about Lively's claims that she'd been the victim of a smear campaign after speaking up about sexual harassment on the set of "It Ends with Us."

-----

And lastly, Megan Markle started the new year with a fresh Instagram post from a newly launched account. In it, the Duchess of Sussex happily runs barefoot along the sand on a beach while wearing a white button-up shirt and a pair of white jeans rolled up above the ankle.  Writing 20-25 in the sand before running out of the shot. Though the former “Suits” actress, 43, turned off the comments for the post, several stars showed their support by “liking” it, including her pals Serena Williams and Chrissy Teigen.
