The Marshalltown Bobcat Boys Wrestling team had a couple tough tests over the weekend with the #8 and #1 dual teams in the state with Johnston and Southeast Polk respectively.

That is Bobcat head coach Lucas Cross. The big match up was between Xayvion Anderson and Abe Bushong from SE Polk. Anderson beat him in Districts last year, but Bushong won at State.

Anderson took his first 2 losses of the season on Saturday at the Allie Morrison Duals. Coach Cross says he has been trying to wrestling one weight class down now that they have an extra 2 pounds.

Both the Boys and Girls wrestling teams will be back in action tomorrow night as the boys head to Bettendorf for a tournament and the girls head to Ankeny.
