The Marshalltown Police Department arrested a Marshalltown man for a grooming charge. Bryan Brown, age 35 of Marshalltown, was arrested on Monday. Brown has been charged with Grooming, a class D felony, as he was communicating with who he believed to be a 11-year-old girl.

The arrest report states that Brown was communicating via Facebook messenger with someone he thought was a 11-year-old girl from November 15th – December 10th. Brown asked the person for nude photos and made plans to meet at his residence for the purpose of sex.

He is being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
