This week we spoke with Iowa State athletic director Jamie Pollard following the release of a video update regarding the CyTown project to be constructed between Hilton Coliseum and Jack Trice Stadium in Ames, something Pollard says has been the vision for Iowa State for a while.

Pollard says CyTown will feature plenty of things for fans, tailgaters, businesses, students, faculty, residents, and everyone in between. One of the big draws is the Sukup Cylo which features a stage and large screens for entertainment.

Construction for CyTown is set to begin later this fall, should continue through the bulk of 2026, and the plan is for the full area to be completed for the fall of 2027.
