Yesterday began a partnership between The Governors Traffic Safety Bureau and the Marshall County Sheriffs Office to increase enforcement for St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Many people will be out this weekend to celebrate the holiday and Traffic and Safety Deputy, Jonathan Rogers, wants to remind people to stay safe and make smart choices.

The big thing Deputy Rogers stresses is to plan out your entire night, from how you will get to your destination and how you will get back home safely.

The Governors Traffic Safety Bureau partners with Uber during different times of the year to help encourage people to get home safely.

Learn more about that program online at dps.iowa.gov. Rogers leaves listeners with one message to remember while out celebrating.
