Yesterday the Marshalltown Police Department responded to an accident just on the city limits on Highway 30. According to the Marshalltown Police Department it was a single vehicle rollover accident around 1:20 in the afternoon.

One person was transported by ambulance to UnityPoint hospital with injuries sustained. The roadway was finally clear and open to traffic around 2:45 and this investigation is still on-going.

While the road opened back up, officers and deputies were still on scene. Whenever there are police, maintenance, or any stationary vehicle on the side of the road it is Iowa law to move over or slow down. Drivers can be ticketed for driving too fast going by a vehicle on the side of the road or for not moving over one lane.
