Amidst discussion of a 65-thousand dollar engineer study lasts night by the Marshalltown City Council was information regarding the former Crosby Poll site and connecting bike trails.

The engineering study for design of a connector between the Linn Creek and Iowa River Trails bike paths passed on a four-three vote. This connector would run from the American Legion Golf course north past the city skatepark. A key component of the overall project is construction of 14 multi-family housing units by Janelle and Joe Carter, who own the land where the pool used to be.

Carter, Marshalltown Company president, says owners of Wayward Social, a private piece of land, as well as the Legion board are all in favor of the bike path connector.
