Just over a year after the first shovel of dirt was turned, the band new Gutekunst Library will celebrate it’s grand opening and open house on Saturday in State Center. Library Director Mara Edler can hardly believe the big day is almost here.

The Open House will run from 10 to 3 Saturday and will include library tours, burying of the Sesquicentennial Time capsule, along with free pork sandwiches served up by the library’s Board of Directors.
