Grundy Center rallied from 15 shots back to win the Class 1A State Golf crown yesterday at Westwood at Newton. The Spartans combined for a final team round of 327 to overtake Harris-Lake Park for the title.
Kemper Catholic took the 2A crown at the American Legion in Marshalltown. PCM was runner up. Dike-New Hartford’s Bo Weissenfluh took medalist honors with a two day four over par 144.
Central Clinton snared the Class 3A state title at Fort Dodge.
Nevada was the team runner-up.
Lucas Scherf from Grinnell won the 3A individual title by shooting 2-under-par 142 for the tournament.
