It’s like a long distance runner who has reached the end of the marathon. That’s what it is like Tuesday for Black Tire Bike Company in downtown Marshalltown. Seven and a half months after the tornado did it’s thing, the store is once again open in its original location.

Owner Gerstandt says they were working on the store until one a.m. Tuesday morning to assure it would be ready to open. However, he’s not quite done with the building. There is some work on the second floor apartment spaces yet to take place.
