A Saturday afternoon accident near Wellsburg sent seven people to the hospital, all from Des Moines, all in one vehicle.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department says Raymond Abwe lost control of the SUV on Highway 20, went into the media and then rolled over.

Six of the people in the vehicle  were taken to Grundy County Memorial Hospital with various injuries. One, Shukuru Mulemba was later transferred to Iowa Methodist.

The crash remains under investigation.
