Severe weather awareness week continues, with today’s emphasis on tornadoes highlighted by a state wide drill later this morning.

Marshall County Emergency Management Coordinator Kim Elder says the test will begin, well, at the beginning, with a tst tornado watch being issued.

Expect the sires and your phones to go off around 10:10, 10:15 this morning.

Elder also reminds that the National Weather Services annual storm spotter training session in Marshalltown is Thursday night at six at Marshalltown Community College.
