Mother Nature continues to do no favors to farmers.
The latest Iowa Crop Progress report indicates farmers are three weeks behind when it comes to the Harvest season. Part of the reason is that farmers could barely muster a day and a half of fieldwork last week.
Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Crops Specialist for northwest Iowa, Joel DeJong, says those farmers that were able to plant early have seen some good things.
While this week has started out better, the chance for rain…and maybe even some frost this weekend is not helping the mood out in the country.
