It only took about fifteen minutes to set the stage for work to begin on the renovation of the Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum at a special City Council meeting.
All told, the cost of the project now looks to be about 3-point-seven million dollars. With the bids now approved, Parks & rec Director Geoff Hubbard said he would start work today if that were possible.
As far as the fundraising portion of the funds, it is about $210,000 shy of the 1.35 million dollar goal. More will be announced soon regarding those fundraising efforts.
