Iowa State outscored Northern Illinois 39-18 in the second half in a 70-52 win in Ames. The Cyclones overcame a slow start that saw them trail by as many as 11 points in the opening half. ISU coach Steve Prohm notes the Cyclones won despite making only three of 25 from three point range.

The Cyclones are 2-1, and don’t play again until newt Tuesday versus Southern Miss.
