A series of vandalisms using hate-related symbols is being tracked on the Iowa State campus.

The latest incident was reported Wednesday evening when a door inside Buchanan Hall was defaced with a swastika.

University officials also acknowledged reports of racist stickers and posters being adorned on light poles and bus stop signs around campus last week.

In a statement released to the ISU community from ISU President Wendy Wintersteen and Newton, the university denounced acts of racism, white supremacy and anti-Semitism.

Last week, three students were the targets of a violent social media post over their participation in a Land Acknowledgment statement at a November Students Against Racism forum.
