It is said that, on average, 20 U.S. soldiers commit suicide every day…most of whom are not on active duty. Tomorrow at the Hotel Grinnell, a forum on suicide awareness and prevention, focused on vets, military and first responders will take place. Kent Reed of American Brawn says the three speakers will discuss what it might take to help these groups reduce the stigma of dealing with depression and PTSD.
At this forum, there will also be help available for family members who are struggling to help their loved ones. The event begins at 10:00 at the Hotel Grinnell and is free and open to the public.
