Governor Kim Reynolds warned that the COVID-19 numbers would rise over the weekend, as a backlog of cases would be entered into the Department of Health’s system.
Since Friday noon, 1,285 new cases of the virus were added to the list for a total of 9,169.
Sixteen more deaths were reported, including two in Poweshiek County and one each in Tama and Jasper Counties.
Marshall County’s case toll rose 103 to 603;
Jasper’s increased 38 to 193;
Tama added 16 cases for 286;
Poweshiek added 11 for 68
and Story County added two for 33.
