We are starting to get some additional hints at the cost of the epidemic. At last night’s Marshalltown City Council meeting, Finance Director Diana Steiner altered the council that it looks like the budget shortfall for this fiscal year will be around $65,000. As far as the next fiscal year, that may be a different story.

Steiner expects to provide an update at the next council meeting.

Also at last night’s meeting, Councilors approved a number of projects, which included work on the East Merle Hibbs extension, along with moving forward on the rebuilding of the Timber Creek bridge and Anson shelter house.
