Governor Reynolds has given the green light for high school baseball and softball practices to begin on June 1, with the two state athletic unions targeting June 15th for the initial games of the seasons.
It’s estimated that the seasons will be about 60 percent of a “normal” season, with the dates for the girls state softball tourney in Fort Dodge and the boys state tourney in Des Moines still set as originally planned. No other high school sports are affected by the Governor’s latest proclamation.
