We begin December with more covid cases, more fatalities, but the percent of positivity testing rates over the past 14 days is down from its spike a couple of weeks ago. Only Grundy County, at 20.9 percent, is above the 20 percent mark among the seven counties we track. Marshall County is now at 15.2 percent as the Marshalltown School District goes back to its pre-required virtual schedule.

Over 16-hundred confirmed COVID cases added this morning for over 230-thousand to date. 24 new deaths make that total to date 2,427. Marshall County’s death toll now at 46 related to the rona.
