After ten and a half months, Marshalltown Police have made an arrest in the March 2020 murder of Johnquez Lewis.

37-year old Robert J. Thomas was charged with Murder in the First Degree yesterday for killing Lewis in March of last year, while also seriously injuring another man, Devonte Brooks.

Marshalltown Police Captain Chris Jones credits the relationship police have with the community that helped result in Thomas’ arrest.

Thomas remains in the Marshall County Jail awaiting an initial court appearance.
