Two California men in a stolen car, a high speed pursuit and two pounds of meth have combined to put the men behind bars in Marshall County.

Late yesterday afternoon, a Marshall County Deputy located the stolen vehicle from California on Highway 330 near the Harvester area. A pursuit reached speeds of 100 miles per hour onto a county road and into Story County  when the driver lost control and the car ended up in a ditch. A subsequent search of the area and the vehicle founds two pounds of Meth

Arrested was the driver Uriel Ruelas and the passenger Rueben Magallenes  were charged with multiple counts of drug charges, theft and other traffic offenses. Ruelas is wanted on felony warrants in the state of Nevada.

Story County, the Iowa State Patrol and Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force has provided help in this case.
