Defense has carried the UNI football team to a 2-1 start to the season. The offense is averaging only 103 yards of rushing.

The defense has not yielded a touchdown the last two game but Coach Mark Farley liked the way the offense finished against the Redbirds with the game on the line.

UNI is ranked fourth in the latest STATS FCS top 25. The Panthers visit 10th ranked Southern Illinois this afternoon.
