While it will not be back to pre-pandemic normalcy, the Drake Relays are trying to raise the bar as high as possible, while maintaining safety precautions. The high school athletes and Olympic hopefuls in track and field will be flocking again to Des Moines. However, Relays Director Blake Bouldon says among the challenges are the travel precautions that he is trying to overcome, such as college teams maybe not being cleared to fly to Des Moines.

The Drake Relays one of only two in the U.S, to be designated as Silver Level. Many Olympic hopefuls are hoping to make it to Des Moines to begin preps to qualify for Tokyo.
