A mobile home fire in Ames Saturday afternoon kept firefighters occupied for a while.

The fire was reported in the 26-hundred block of Browning Street. The crews were able to get the fire under control, but the home is considered a total loss, estimated at $75,000. Residents escaped the blaze with some minor injuries.
