Ames police are investigating the death of a toddler.

First Responders were called to the 1200 block of Florida Avenue Saturday afternoon. The toddler was airlifted to a Des Moines hospital, where the infant died yesterday.

Ames police are investigating the situation as a  suspicious death. No arrests have yet been made in connection with the child’s death.
