Tight end play has been a big part of the rise of the Iowa State football program and that position group figures to be strong once again. Cyclone tight ends led the nation with 82 receptions a year ago and Charlie Kolar says with so many teams playing without a tight end on the field it gives them an advantage.

Iowa State will open the season ranked seventh and Kolar believes the Cyclones have the right amount of confidence.
