Seniors in the Marshalltown area will once again have a place to gather starting on Monday. The new Marshalltown Senior Citizens Center at 207 East Church Street will open at 8:00 am Monday morning. For director April Long, it has been quite the process through the tornado and then the derecho and she is thrilled to be done with the renovation work at the new Center.

Hours will be 9 am to 4pm Monday through Friday for those 55 and older. Long says the new Center wouldn’t be possible without a lot of folks helping out, specifically citing the 100 Women Who Care and the Community Foundation of Marshall County.
